What is AEPi?
AEPi is a social fraternity, which means that it exists as a body of men living and working together for a common purpose. That purpose is to enhance the college experience through a wide variety of activities, including brotherhood events, social events, philanthropy, and intramural sports. AEPi is the only national Jewish fraternity and is a member of the Penn State Interfraternity Council. Additionally, AEPi maintains the highest GPA out of 75 national fraternities.
“Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience.”
“Initially, the Jewish fraternity served as a brotherhood of young men who came from similar religious backgrounds and who had experienced the same prejudices against their religious beliefs.”“Perhaps of greater importance, Alpha Epsilon Pi develops leadership for the future of the American Jewish community.”“Throughout our history, the fraternity setting has served as a “learning laboratory”, a testing ground for young men who later become leaders in business, education, government, religion, and science. … Alpha Epsilon Pi prepares young men for their role in life as responsible citizens.”“Therefore, our basic purpose is to provide the opportunity for a Jewish man to be able to join a Jewish organization whose purpose is not specifically religious, but rather social and cultural in nature. Alpha Epsilon Pi is a Jewish fraternity, through non-discriminatory and open to all who are willing to espouse its purpose and values.”
We Believe in the Jewish Fraternity
A strong brotherhood of individuals who share Jewish values enables us to take a step further. It lets us commit to incredible philanthropies and deliver on our promise. It pushes us to take a genuine interest in improving our communities through leadership and service. It supports our efforts to advocate for Israel, push our members to become civically engaged, and become the leaders our Jewish community needs. We take pride in who we are.
We are Alpha Epsilon Pi.
